Life as we know it exists on earth because of water, and without water, pretty much all life on earth would no longer exist. This is why NASA currently search for signs of water on Mars, claiming that if they can find the ancient signs of water there, life must have once existed on Mars as well. For us humans, water is a key to our existence and wellbeing.
What is water? Water, as we commonly describe it, is H2O, or simply two hydrogen atoms boned together with one oxygen atom. Why does this matter? Firstly, watermolecules are polar, with partially positive charges on the hydrogen atoms and partially negative charges on the oxygen atoms but with an overall bent structure leaning towards the negatively charged atoms or electro-negative, because oxygen atoms are better at attracting electrons than hydrogen atoms. This is important because it means that in order for water to carry more energy, it is better for the water to be negatively charged than positively charged. Hydroactive technology addresses this in combination with a complex recipe of ions, minerals and atoms. Water is also an excellent solvent meaning that it is both cleansing and a carrier of both nutrients and energy in the body. Water is cohesive and adhesive which is important as well because the hydrogen bonds in water allow water to attach to toxins and other contaminants and cleanse the body of these, when the water is properly structured to achieve this. What does all of this mean? It simply means it is important for water be properly structured and to contain certain ions, minerals and atoms for it to properly function as a hydrant, cleanser, energy carrier and most critically to ensure proper cell-function within the body. This not only effects water’s taste and a feeling of wellbeing but also the bio-availability of the water within the body.
Properly structured water has a positive biological effect within the body. This is because the human body is made up of around 70% water, and human blood is 90% water. In fact, at a molecular level, humans are 99% water and when a human baby is born, its brain is also composed of 99% water. This is also because structured water becomes quickly bio-available to the human cells, which in turn use this structured water to aid proper function. Conversely, our cells are not able to easily use unstructured water to operate efficiently and protect themselves against irregular function which can lead to cancers. Optimal cell hydration by making the water bio-available helps:
The ingestion and effects of properly structured water on the cells is shown below in a diagram prepared by Harvard Medical School in 2019.What this shows is that properly hydrated cells function in a completely different way to dehydrated cells. Hydration is driven by the bio-availability of water, which in its properly structured form is more readily available to be used by our structured cells. The opposite is also true, unstructured water more easily leads to unstructured cells which more easily then become dis-functional, leading to diseases like cancer.

Recent research by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) showed that a healthy human cell has a pH of between 5.0 and 7.5 which is in the range of slightly acidic to neutral. This is interesting as it directly contradicts what many water experts advocate in proposing to drink more highly alkalined(pH) water meaning water with a pH in the range of 8.0 and 10.0. MIT propose that the water with a pH of between 5.0 and 7.5 is critical in maintaining healthy cell function and limiting the risks of abnormal function which can lead to cancers and other premature diseases.
